I have always loved music. I mean, I LOVE music. You know that kind that just gets deep within you and you have absolutely no will nor strength to stop what it does to your insides.
They mesh or is that merge with your emotions and stir up emotions you had under vault.
To me its exactly what my emotions sound like. (That is my favourite quote on music by the way)
I've always related some emotion, some person or situation to some song or other.
I'm sure there are plenty others that feel the same way, and to all those rolling their eyes (shush).
This is my space and I'm going to be as candid as I can. This is like therapy. So if I sound a little TMI, forgive or just skip the pages/posts that you feel are cringe worthy.
I've got 2 ideas for what I want to do in this space.
I'll pick a song or album at random from my past or present and and speak to it.
I'll tell you, whichever poor person is reading this, my experience with the song.
Mostly its going to be about some guy or some other guy :-)(slut)
Secondly, I'm going to do a personal top hits for the year. Why do I wanna do this?
I just wanna keep track of my musical versions of Oprah's aha moments.
Lady that reminded me that I need to start my little top 100 list(it may be more or not) for the year is featured above.
I LOOOOOOVE Ciara, absolutely adore her, it hurts me that she isn't as big as the Queen Bey.
My bestie and I are of the consensus that should there ever be a dance off between those two,
Cici got that one in the bag and we will be cheering right alongside(Go Cici Go Cici...)
Anyways(forgive me, I keep writing that a lot) the song that brought me here... yep to this page.. first blog and all drumroll ...hehehe
I BET - CIARA (2015)
Its off her newest album , think its also called I bet.
Love the melody and her dancing.
Lady does amazing thing son her tippy toes.. I digress.
She sings about how she broke things off when she realized he wasn't man enough for her. She sounds pretty strong through out the song, tells him off real proper.
She even takes a classy dig at the "Silicon bum and Brazilian hair" chica but her vulnerability comes out at the end of the song when she sings...
"Right now, it’s killing me
Cause now I have to find someone else
When all I wanted was you"
sob sob sob...
I feel you girl and I so understand all of that... IF only you had manned up neh(Straight up South African) I guess we would have still been together.
:-(
Sucks but sometimes we have to decide, whether Enough is going to be Enough in the long run.
I bought the single after listening to it a couple times off YouTube. Should you not have had time to stream it off YouTube ask me to let you have a listen.
xx
